UPDATE (Sep 03): Read about "Fluid Spaceship Zero" - a new style of gaming. -------- Spaceship Zero is awesome. I co-wrote it. It's fun, it's wacky, it makes a great Christmas gift! You can get it at your local games/hobby store or order it at amazon.com or directly from the publisher at www.greenronin.com Spaceship Zero the RPG is based on the SSZ radio serial, German tv series and upcoming movie. There is more info at www.spaceshipzero.com and from the Green Ronin website. You can read the story of the film in the liner notes of the soundtrack by The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets. Basically, a group of brave test pilots take the world's first "Better-Than-Light" drive ship for a spin around the galaxy. Everything that can go wrong does, leaving the crew stranded in a twisted mirror universe, low on supplies and beset by dangerous aliens who seek their technological secrets. There's going to be a whole bunch of free stuff relating to the game from the Green Ronin site as well in the coming months. There's also a free video game from spaceshipzero.com so check that out too, won't you? What people are saying about Spaceship Zero the sci-fi serial roleplaying game: "...the
breadth of the rules is marvelous...the quality and quantity of the setting
material...are unambiguously excellent..." 5 out of 5 "It’ll
be tragic if the game isn’t wildly successful because it’s good enough to be
a run away success." 9 out of 10 stars "...the
ideas on game play and humorous writing style make this book more than pay for
itself" "The game is a winner on its easygoing mood and high fun
factor" 4 out of 5 stars "...a clever and decidedly well-balanced game" An
"A" Rating "If you have even a passing interest in science fiction
role-playing games this is one you will definitely want to add to your
collection." "It has the potential to be huge, just ever so slightly--if
not plain--cheesy, fun." "...very well written and funny..." "...science fiction adventure of the highest
order...Spaceship Zero is a wonderful game." "Geeks like myself...can enjoy the obvious love, mad
creativity, and excellent art...while also appreciating a fine serial-sci-fi RPG." |
